Kurts second update

Hi, Kurt again with another little album update. Halfway through the Album recording we
had good news from Midas Consoles. We were selected to join them as a part of the
Midas Artist Scheme. We have been fortunate enough to be given an M32R Live mixing
console to continue to record our album with. Honestly, I couldn’t be more excited and as a band that does everything in house I can’t really express how grateful I am to be able to use such a good piece of equipment.
Why is this such a big deal? Cost. Like everything you get what you pay for and Midas are renowned for the quality their pre amps can offer. For myself recording vocals is where I
can really hear the benefit compared to the equipment we have been using so far. The
clarity is spot on and a super low noise floor offers more than enough gain to drive any
microphone. Of course the quality is great, but having such a capable console generates
the urge to be creative which for me is what makes music worthwhile.
As far as the album goes we a right on track and still working hard to get everything tracked. Since the last edit all the drums have been recorded and edited and to a certain extent mixed. They are sounding huge – Simon did an awesome job during tracking after being out of writing for a good few years has slipped right back into it.
I can’t wait to share what we have been working on, thanks for reading and I’ll be back soon with another update!
